I thought this depiction of the Correlation Coefficient on GRLevel 3 Dual-Pol was pretty impressive.
I am currently in North Georgia and was tracking this cell for about 45 minutes before the CC shot off the chart dark blue (probably 50).
Absolutely a great tool for confirming a tornado. I understand that its not full proof, but it seems to ba a solid TDS when used in conjunction with the Radar, SRV, and BV.

With videos of a large tornado hitting Adairsville now making the rounds, I'd say the CC proved its usefulness. Thanks for posting the image and for sharing your experience. Did you happen to witness the actual tornado? Or by "tracking," do you mean that you were simply following the cell on GR3v2?
 
Im actually sitting in Dahlonega GA. If i was not working I would probably be out chasing, although in this part of the country thats fairly dangerous!
 
I drive through Adairsville all the time, and agree that it is not desirable chase terrain. Those WSB folks were in a good spot to make that capture--I think it was moving at 55 to 60mph at that time (didn't get a screengrab on my GRL3). The couplet had really lasted a long time. I thought it was interesting that a horizontal vortex was visible in the end of the WSB video. Has anything been established regarding a relationship between storm speed and the occurrence of horizontal vortices?

Could you post the image with a better resolution, as it impossible to recognize any number and letters?

Sorry about the res. I tryed to upload a larger size of the image but it was rejected. Ill work on posting it in a larger size. Im an idiot when it comes to this forum stuff. Any suggestions would be great!
 
Yeah, some forums only allow photos of certain sizes. The easiest way to post larger photos is to upload it to a hosting site first. I think the easiest to use is www.imgur.com. You can just click on "Computer" in the top right corner, navigate to your photo and select it. Click "Start Upload" and when it's done uploading, right click on the link under "Direct Link" and copy it. Then come back here and click Insert Image like you did before, but then click "From URL" and paste your link there.

I hope that isn't too confusing. It's easier than it sounds.
