MD just issued for target area so I thought i'd get this started. Small CU field going up well ahead of front around the Lawton area. Thought about heading that way but I'm gonna stick around home for a little while longer untill things get cranking. Not real impressed with the the set-up but hey, its september, I got some comp time and its close to home, so I'm chasing. Still liking the area between Wichita Falls and Gainesville since it's sitting in some nice cape right now. We got blue skies and some hefty south winds at the moment but no CU field of any kind, expect that to change shortly. If all else fails I'll get a nice light show later on. Good luck to everyone going out today and here's to hoping for a little southern plains magic.

Agree with North Texas over Oklahoma. Better theta E axis is in Texas and winds are slightly more backed ahead of the developing triple point. A stout cap is in place so Texas might not go until late afternoon when some cooling comes in aloft. Models too early on precip. MD is mainly OK/AR north. Look for another MD in Texas later. Chase goal would mainly be structure followed by light show. Enjoy!
