I just witnessed a small funnel cloud. Roughly, around 4:10 p.m., there was a dark cloud above me-it was a developing thunderstorm, I think. (I'm near Hoboken.) There is a severe thunderstorm watch on for this area. Just east of me, I could see the underside churning, and then a small, snakelike funnel descended out of the base cloud. It didn't last very long, maybe for about a few moments, but it was definitely a funnel cloud. Then it dissipated.
