Tons of trees down in Bloomington (MN, South 'Close' Metro), huge limbs on garage, 6-12 inch trees down, Bloomington Fire is very busy tonight, lots of wind damage, fires, trees down, gas leaks.... Pictures later in reports (with hopefully a chase report later today). Power is out, phone line and cable TV lines taken out.
EDIT: This was a response to what was initially an 8/10 Discussion thread that commented on damage in the Metro Twin Cities from the bow echo that rolled thru the Metro Twin cities at 3am on 3/11 (from the convective system that initiated in ND/SD at 3pmish on 3/10), that initial post was removed (a portion of which became a 3/11 report). I only point this out because at this point my reply is a somewhat confusing and ir-relevent otherwise. I will include a couple of 'am' damage photos on my 3/11 'afternoon' chase account from the 3/11 am system that left an estimated 100,000 without power, 50,000 or so remain without power(at least that was what they told us when they said we may not have power until Tuesday), thank god for inverters.
