We had some cells build across the SE KS area here that have just continued to build and train in West Central Coffey County and has now rained by Doppler estimates over 7 inches. I went out to get lightning shots on the West side of the main area and with the rain as heavy as it was going out and coming back and the flooding I could see in the flashes I have no doubt it is pretty close on its estimates. The cloud to ground in this thing is just beyond amazing, better than anything I have seen in years. I am going back out for a bit as it seems it will be here for a while. The cells have produced some pretty strong outflows at times taking some branches down West of Burlington.

Add Colorado to the list as parts of Metro Denver are under tornado warnings. Several funnels and a possible brief tornado have been reported in the northern suburbs. I am on a bus heading for home from the airport as we speak, so my welcome back kicks off already! LOL

Another tornado-warned cell south of Elizabeth where a couple boundries ahave collided. Slow moving, heavy rain producing storms are creating quite the mess just in time for my return! LOL

More reports from law enforcement and spotters of weak tornadoes (possibly gustnadoes) near Greeley/Windsor and another tornado warning has been issued. Circulations seem to be forming as the outflow boundaries speed through, so anything that does form should be weak and brief as has been reported.

I was sitting here at my apartment in Glendale checking my e-mail and completely oblivious when the tornado sirens started going off. I was like 'WTF?!?' and then my weather radio went off and as soon as I heard the text in the tornado warning I instantly thought 'gustnadoes'.
I just received a text from one of my friends up in Northglenn and he told me he saw two small funnel clouds and a very short lived gustnado just northeast of the I-25 and the Northwest Parkway intersection over relatively open country.

Greeley is experiencing major flooding right now, one of our main roads, 11th ave, is impassible for my little Mazda 3. Tornado warning expired for Greeley, but replaced by a Flash Flood Warning.
