Things getting active in OK. Several severe T-stm warnings in effect with large hail being primary threat. Looks like this could also be the beginning of round #2 of more flooding!

Haven't heard of any tornado reports, but we had one HECK of a wind gust here at our Norman, OK house! Limbs are down on the east side of Norman - gonna go out and survey the damage shortly. Gusts had to be ~ 60+ at times. Heavy rain will lead to urban flooding soon as well.

Keep taking power hits. Lightning is VERY intense and very close!

EDIT - is it just me, or does that cell to the south of Shawnee, OK look suspicious on radar ??? Well, at least it did last frame scan. Just northwest of St. Louis, OK seems to be a nice signature. I can't make out anything on velocities though. Anyone else seeing this?

Billy, does appear to have a hook on the southwest edge of it. Base velocity also verifies this as well, very nice.

The Mesonet recorded a gust of 68 mph about 15 minutes ago. Looks like a similar one of 65 has made it into the SPC reports.

As for the cell in Pottowatomie county, the rotation looks pretty strong and extends through the first few elevations, but I don't think tornadic activity is imminent. Same thing for the cell to its east, currently near Holdenville.

Hell, I didn't even know it was supposed to storm to this extent! I like these "popcorn surprises." Funniest thing was seeing my son's basketball goal actually ROLL down the street in front of our house! It's one of those portable ones filled with water but has wheels. Didn't tip it over, wind just pushed it down the street about 50 yards.

Didn't have any hail here at the house. Just heavy rains and strong winds. Some of the neighbors trees didn't fair so well.

Delightful drive home from work a little bit (6Z or so) ago...almost continuous lightning with some awesome CGs :D . Another small, non-severe line looks to be moving in from the west. Hopefuly there's going to be another light show to enjoy.
