Mike, you are THE KING of storm photography.. nothing less than spectacular!
Did you take any video of this event??

Thanks, but I'm not the king. A king would have mounts in the car for this stuff! I have zero in car mounts, just window clamps one can't use when it is raining. I tried to hand hold some video, but it was getting in the way of doing the stills way too much. I had to keep spinning the camera around, with the tripod on my lap in my front seat, and wiping the rain off...even if it would get drops on it the second I had it flipped back around again anyway. I tried the video thing after several close bolts. I then set the vid cam on my dash as I cleaned the lens off again. Right as I was picking it up again, with it still recording, the bolt hits the tower. All you see is a flash and hear the thunder. I then say something and sound like an idiot, as I joking said "I'm going to die" or something. I never learn to tame stupidity on cam when things are happening. Right after this the other bolt hits the next tower closer. Again the bolt is not in frame since I'm so close to those and not pointing up. What I can see are those people in the still photograph running from the car. The one lady was indeed holding an umbrella lol. That flash on video is horribly short, seemed staccato. If I was to upload video, that's all it would contain, that short segment, about 2 minutes in length not showing any actual bolts I don't think....but the two tower hits flash-booms would be on there. I'm pondering adding that.

Since we're in a reports lull I'll offer this up too. A lone cell went up near Rochester, MN at sunset. In this link is a nice timelapse of it taken from about 50 miles to the west.
