COMPLETE JULY 14, 2007 STORM CHASE LOG CAN BE FOUND HERE!!!

This was more of a popcorn storm chase than anything else. Hoping to see some action along the front, but weak convergence lead to more of a popcorn setup in which we just bounced around from storm-to-storm, getting hailed on, then off to the next round. Nothing spectacular to mention with this, just a fun, light-hearted trip around Kansas... strangely enough, one of the first trips into the state in quite some time.

Darin Brunin and I took a short little chase around the Flint Hills in Central KS and were treated with some neat structure. The outflow from the cell north of Council Grove was cool, with thousands of dandelions floating around the prairie grass. We actually watched a mid-level funnel from one of the updrafts and watched it rope out horizontally.
