A nice solo chase for me in my backyard. I ended up going out on I-70 and dropping south to the Palmer Divided. After waiting about an hour in Kiowa I saw explosive convection firing to the south of my position. This was the cell that exploded over Elbert, CO. I made my way south of it and after about 5 minutes of watching this newly developing cell, a wall cloud formed and two small short lived funnels formed. Right after the cell went outflow I raced north were I got on the Limon cell. Not much to write home about for that one but still a nice hailer, got a few new dents. Thanks to Mike O'Keeffe's great nowcasting I would have never seen those funnels.
