Experienced strong straight-line winds about 20 miles south of Raleigh, NC just east of Fuquay-Varina. Hurricane-like whiteouts with branches audibly breaking in the woods. The LSR from the spotter who measured a 62 mph gust was no more than a mile from my position. Also some great lightning with these storms.
