Well, here are the first lightning shots I've ever taken in my life. I was using an old Sony Mavica (which uses floppies!) for these shots. I'm amazed I got anything at all.

The line of storms that moved into the Hoboken/New York City area were fast and incredibly violent. The skies were lit by almost continuous lightning, and quite a number of the discharges were CGs. Just before the storms hit, there were fierce gusts of wind. I'm amazed trees didn't come down, but I'm thankful.

There wasn't much in the way of rain, though-this was mostly a lightning/wind event. It was a wild night indeed. I lost power at about 4:30 this morning, but it came back on a couple of hours later.

The same system produced a supercell and some strong storms in Quebec.
