• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Thin rope tornado now on the ground in Lee County, MS just north of Tupelo. My cousin called and said that there is damage to roofs and that it's headed for the mall. Live streaming coverage at WTVA.com

Although it is late in the event, VA/NC should also be added to this title.

After watching GRAE of the KLWX radar site around 11 PM EST, velocity values were showing some weak to moderate rotation just west and northwest of Fredericksburg, VA in extreme southern Stafford County. I've been listening to a stream of the county disptach for fire and police. They are reporting an area of moderate structural damage in southern Stafford County, I believe 5 - 10 NW of Fredericksburg, VA along Route 17. I haven't seen any LSRs from the Sterling office yet but I'm sure they are about to come in. There are a few reports of people trapped, some injuries, and numerous evacuations. Here is the link (should open up in Winamp):

There are also incredible velocity values coming off the cell in NC, between Winston-Salem and Greensboro. The storm is taking up the tail end of the line of storms that stretchs up into Virginia. There is an unofficial report of a tornado from the same cell a little bit earlier in Forsyth County.

**EDIT - They have issued another tornado warning for the cell south of the DC metro area. The warning now includes Charles and Prince Georges County in Maryland. It appears to be wrapping up again and is starting to produce a hook. Also, now a reported tornado with the Greensboro storm, NW of the city of Greensboro. An LSR with a report of cars blown off of I-40.

Inbound velocities of 95-105kts per GR2Analyst (depending on exactly how the storm motion vector is set) around 11:20pm EDT just south of Kernersville, NC..unbelievable.
