The setup today is kinda Jarrell-ish, with very high theta-e's and a slow-moving boundary. Maybe a chance of a high-CAPE monster between I-35 and I-45.

Just stepped outside here in Austin and it is partly cloudy, but really, really muggy outside. My dewpoint sensor is reading 78, the highest I've ever seen it go. The moist sector is actually visible on satellite as a "hazy" tongue extending from Houston to Waco.

Anyone see the FWD sounding this a.m.? Looks like the launch crapped out around 600 mb, but the lapse rates it was showing before it cut out were phenomenal.

I just noticed that SPC's models are painting CAPE ranging from 5000 to 7000 over this target area.
