Good day all,

Believe it or not, some TOR-warned storms in south Florida this late morning / early afternoon for May 24th.

A report from the south side of the Denver area.

I was home today, on-call for the sheriff's office, on the south edge of the Denver metro area. I was watching some interesting weather visually, on GRLevel3 and on Weathertap RadarLabHD. The tone goes off that citizens more or less a few miles due west of me are reporting a tornado and funnel. I grabbed my camera, went out back and saw nothing. I went around to the front and saw the funnel pictured below. The view is to the southwest. By now there were multiple reports to 911 of funnels and tornadoes. The funnel and wall cloud were moving almost due east. My photos cover a time span of about two minutes so it dissipated rapidly as I watched. Scud was being sucked up into the base as it passed south of me but everything died out shortly after passing my location.

The radar grab is from about the time of the initial 911 calls. The "couplet" near HRLETF is something that I would normally not pay attention to, but it matches pretty well my perspective (Home) and is south of where the 911 calls were from. It shows up on all the SRV levels but best on SRV2 and 3. The radar update following the one shown is about the same time as my photos and shows nothing.
