The strong cap is gone. Obviously the warm front moved through the region and help enhance the shear even more.

Layered cake meso on JR Henley's cam from the southernmost supercell. Looks high based ATTM but probably has the best shot at producing anything photogenic from this point on.

SD Tornado outbreak

Kathyrn & I and my grandson Brian filmed large wedge tornado's today.

West of the town of Bowdle to the north of Rosco SD.

The tornado was a high end of the EF scale!!

We filmed a family of tornado's we had six tornaod on the groiund at the same time 5 NW/NNE of Beebe.

My wife Jane and I also shot about 20 minutes of footage in the same area as Jeff mentioned above. The best footage was a video where we shot probably five minutes of a vicious wedge tornado moving on the north side of Bowdle and we were probably 1/4 a mile just to the south of it and were basically in perfect position. The inflow winds were something I've never experienced before - they were something to remember that's for sure! I later talked to two fireman down by Ipswich and they hadn't heard of any injuries in Bowdle, but they were interested to hear of the tornado I just described above. I took roughly 20 minutes of footage of this crazy Supercell and the associated tornado. We're now in Aberdeen in the Comfort Inn ready to call it a night and get ready for tomorrow. What a chase to remember.

We saw the TIV driving in extremely dark conditions with no headlights on. I'm not sure if they have a death wish or what the deal is, but they basically appeared out of the darkness and scared us as we were heading east and they were going west.
