5/22/07 NOW: KS/NE/OK

Structure changing fast now. There was a funnel near the interstate....looked like scud got spinning enough to form that, but did't appear attached to the base. STill two bases......both getting structure now the southern one has a big rfd cut.

Looks like a good ole fashion squall line setting up on the Nebraska and Kansas border around Araphoe and Cambridge area. More than likely more warnings will be issued around further east.

Are the storms in Kansas moving northeast faster than the ones in Kansas?

STill two bases, north one looked good but seems to be getting a bit cold looking. South one appears to be wanting to turn into a beast, which I think will awnt to go more east. Stupid road options.

It appears on radar that the severe warned storm SW of Beaver City may be starting to take over for it's immediately vicinity and make a bit of a right turn. Darren Addy is out under its anvil in Holdrege and reports some wicked mammatus.

North base looks to be gettng worse and that's good as I don't want to go north on this gravel road(while a billiion other chasers have passed me going that way). Southern updraft due west of me near the interstate is trying to get jawdropping. Naw...it's jaw dropping now.

On the phone with my friend, he's in Kansas just north of Collyer (Gove Co storm) and sees good structure.

The radar looks decent from here (I'm now casting) - TVS is indicated on the radar.

Coloardo needs to be added to this thread. That sup in Cheyenne Co is a monster. Gotta be dropping some very large hail and probley a tornado somewhere in there. Storm moving to the E at 45 mph. Its an HP BEAST!!!

Not much as far as size from what SHAVE has found---half dollar ball was the biggest in there (maybe that's big, but I'm a hail freak..).

This looks alot like what went down on 5-4. The tail end charlie storm from development has had supercell structure and will be the dominate storm just like on 5-4. We should see this thing right turn pretty soon once it gets rooted if it aint already. Hill City needs to keep an eye on this storm along with all the other communites to its SW. And im still impressed with the storm in CO. Might not be a show stopper but its still mean looking.

Funnel cloud or tornado (unclear whether it touched down) being reported about 8 miles SW of Hill City, KS by several chasers.

Roping out now - visible for about 5 minutes.

Hill City storm might have just been producing a tornado. Sure looked like it from my crappy vantage point east of Hill CIty. New lowering already se of where whatever it was roped out.

I can confirm that the Hill city storm-had a confirmed touchdown-witnessed by myself and numerous other chasers.

Looks like the Torn/warned storm in Logan County Ks is developing a large tornado, some great BV showing up and it looks like a classic hook at this time 1943 hours. Cell right behind it may be starting to effect it. the second cell is starting to develop more than the cell with the tornado warn.
