• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Two TOR-warned cells, one in LA and one in TX nearing Sweetwater. Cell down by San Angelo is SVR and definitely worthy of watching as well.

Just saw a very nice tube on Dave Drummond's live stream. Storm just NW of Colorado City TX has made several other serious attempts/funnels. Who would have thought today would be better than yesterday?

OK, storm appears to be cycling now, and I can take my eye's off the live feed. There are 2 storms next to each other, both showing rotation and small hooks. I believe Dave is on the northern storm, the one north of I-20. It has already produced a smallish but very pretty white tube with condensation all the way to the ground, and several other funnnels that almost made it.

Absolutely amazing to be able to watch that live.

Stuart Robinson had the same tornado on his live feed looking from the SSW.

Storms are merging now along I-20so it will be a bit for it to get its organized rotation back. So far at least 4 tornados reports from this strom on spotter net. It wsnt even torn warned until after the 1st 3 reports. Wonder what took so long to issue a tor warning not only with the reports but the obvious rotation on radar.

Storm chasers Jon Smith and Robert Mitchell are about 20 miles west of the Eden storm trying to gain on it. They will have to punch through that beast on 87. Wow..what a storm!

Observed 5 minute elephant trunk tornado near Iatan, TX, followed by a brief pencil tornado 5 minutes later. Time for first tornado was 4:56-5:01. Pics later!

The storm in McCulloch county TX looks pretty impressive right now. It has a well defined hook and strong rotation. The possible tornado appears to be about 11 miles west of Brady (as of 6:08 pm CDT). As of right now, it looks like it will pass just north of Brady between 6:20pm and 6:25pm.

Edit: A tornado was reported with this storm near Melvin, TX. The storm is now about 3 miles west of Brady and may move into the city in the next few minutes.

NWS is detecting tornado on the ground moving ESE toward the northern Austin suburbs. My brother's home is going to be directly over the hook if it survives for an hour in its current shape and direction.

Chris Wilburn and I were just south of Cedar Park, Tx on 183A and we can confirm the reports of a funnel 9 miles west of Cedar Park. We had a nice low wall cloud pass directly over us and head SE. We are going to intercept the cell on US Hwy 290, E of Austin, Tx.

I was on the phone with my brother (an armchair chaser and fellow weather enthusiast), who lives just to the north of Wells Branch on I-35. He reported that Jeff Draper was on the storm as well, and that hail exceeding golfball size was reported in Round Rock. Over his own home, he noticed a small frame of time where the winds at the surface were rotating as he was joining his wife and kid in their interior closet. The Wells Branch area does not have tornado sirens, and my brother's town could have been under serious and unnecessary danger had a tornado been on the ground at the time - very strange for an area so close to Jarrell.

Rotation and a TVS are indicated on the next supercell in the train, due to pass over this same area within half an hour. Although weakening, this storm could still produce one-inch hail and may return to SVR status soon or maybe more as it moves into an area with higher 0-1km shear.

I am assuming a squall line could be developing from INVOF Burnett to Fredericksburg to Leaky. Although I may not be allowed to ask under strict rule guidelines, I would nonetheless like to see if a more experienced chaser/caster monitoring this thread backs this analysis up, since it is my (inexperienced) nowcasting analysis of an area that has and potentially will place my immediate family under the gun.

EDIT: At 11 PM CDT looking at the radar again may indicate the Fredericksburg area storms could be breaking apart into individual stronger cells.
