Explosive development all along the cold front in to SC KS. Bryan is right the birth of a storm is so amazing. Been watching the storms fire just to the east of town for about 30 min and they are going to go linear fast. But like Bryan said it was awesome watching those towers explode. One even had the mushroom cloud effect working before it anviled out with a beautiful blue sky as a back drop. Got some awesome pics as well These cells to the east of ICT are now svr warned.

It looks like chasethestorms.com has something very interesting on their stream - on the t-warned cell in northern MO.

:edit: They've got a wedge tornado with a HUGE clear slot! Wedding cake structure as well.

OH MY GOD! Extreme Tornado Tours is right fricken next to, almost in a tornado! They're hauling ass in reverse.

I just talked to Dick McGowan; he, Darin and Derek were 1/8 mile from a large rain-wrapped tornado near Kirksville, MO. He is reporting significant damage. Reed and Scott Currens were both streaming some damage recently, and Chad Cowan has an enormous, low wall cloud right now. http://www.tornadovideos.net/full-screen-chaser-video.php

Tornado warnings and damage near Kirksville, MO, heading east, also injuries reported. Heading near my hometown of Keokuk where my mom still lives.

Wow very impressive. Very slow movement with it. It is chewing through rural fields right now. Throwing trees and grass around.

It almost looks like it is moving south



If you live in OKC Metro area go tv KFOR (local Ch. 4) - David Payne is right @ that tornado, he is estimating live right now EF-3 Tornado right in front of him

Can't believe nobody is posting on the extremely dangerous tornado situation in northeastern Missouri...

AT 649 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR AND STORM
SPOTTERS WERE TRACKING A LARGE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO. THIS
TORNADO WAS LOCATED NORTHEAST OF EDINA...MOVING EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 25
MPH.

There are a number small towns in the potential path of the tornado, but it's hard to tell due to the storm being in the north Missouri radar hole.

The storm is also beginning to take a fairly sharp right turn - if it continues this trend, the storm may pass unnervingly close to Quincy, IL in about an hour and a half.

I hope and pray that residents of Knox and Lewis County, MO are heeding the warnings and seeking shelter...

The chaser on KFOR keeps announcing live on tv that the tornado is an EF2 or EF3. That annoys me as you cannot really tell the damage rating on a tornado while it's in progress, especially if you see no damage from it.

One confirmed fatality near Kirksville, MO according to local television station KTVO. Parents live about 30 miles south of there and local TV is streaming footage of significant damage to structures and a car dealership at the north end of Kirksville as well. Unfortunately, this storm is in one of the most pronounced radar coverage gaps in the Midwest...
