This was not the forecast area for today, but storms are firing in NW, North Central IL at this time. They are very small cells. An area NE of Galesburg, IL is currently under a tornado warning. Gilbert Sebenste did mention this possiblity today in his forecast. The mini supercell is firing on a psuedo warm-front in the area. More storms appear to be firing and intensifying. This could be an interesting evening across the southern Chicago Metro. The storms are moving into an area of 500+J/kg SBCAPE according to mesoanalysis
