I'm heading out in about 10 minutes to catch anything North of Denton as it looks like the SPS has a discussion on the area and cells look rather healthy looking out my back window.

Graham Butler and I are currently sitting in Ft. Stockton waiting to see if the West Texas "old faithful" wants to come out and play tonight. With the slow storm motions and high PWAT values flooding is a concern down here. We expect this to be a late night.

Currently 67/63 on the van's weather station w/ light drizzle.

got a funnel just north of denton but didn't touch down. another storm that was looking good coming from the west but it looks to be falling apart now.

Those storms don't look all that great. Most impressive cells are in that line. Looks to be a bookend vortex developing, pretty good mid-level couplet, perhaps even a MARC signature. I would imagine that would enhance wind potential a bit. Also possible hail potential too. Looks like a nasty little line with the worst of it to pass between Collinsville and Tioga.

Second cell in southern Grayson Co. has hook. Carson Eads is there watching it. The storm has nice inflow bands but little surface inflow.
TM - 9PM

Tornado Warning now issued for this storm as well as the old storm to the north. 905PM

Sat on 380 in Denton watching the core cross 35 infront of me from west to east. I also saw the lowering, with scud moving upward but didn't see a funnel or anything touch the ground.. Made for good video though.

Shot this with my cell phone camera north of Denton, 0040z.

I monitored the outflow boundary along the river and persistent cu in Wise County all day, but took off for campus around 6PM in a rental car with no gear, not even a map. Didn't have time to go home when the storm fired; figured it wouldn't stay organized too long with the weak SR anvil winds. So my long-time dream/nightmare of chasing with only my cell phone for a camera came true. Pics didn't turn out half bad considering.
