• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Two rather large HP supercells just moved through the Hattiesburg area, one directly through town and one to the north. There is a report of a touchdown 9 miles west of Ellisville, MS: i believe this is associated with the northern storm, which was rotating pretty strongly earlier. Both storms are still tornado warned.

A tornado watch is in effect for southern AL, and the two storms are just about to enter the watch area.

Looks like there could be a couple large night-time tornadoes in central GA right now..very impressive velocity couplets on SRVEL1 right now a few counties ESE of Macon. Could be a really dangerous situation for the folks down there, especially given that it's 2 AM.

Nice tornado warned blob of rain down in Georgia. Actually a few embedded sups in that precip shield with tight couplets between Soperton and Wrightsville.

Appears previously mentioned Sopterton may have been hit by a tornado around 2:15 am ET. Damage reports coming in from the town matching the time that a strong couplet passed over the location.

Another round of potentially tornadic storms is moving into southern Georgia. I'm really pleased to see the NWS getting warnings out well in advance with the storms occuring so late at night. The atmosphere is still primed at this later hour, and we may see a couple more tornado reports before these storms exit the area.

Good chance we may be seeing a tornado in progress between Wenona and Arabi, Georgia right now. Not familiar with this area, but I'm hoping the area between the small towns down there is fairly sparsely populated.

EDIT: Crap, another tornado possible between Hartford and Empire, no warning in this area however so it may sneak up on anyone in it's path. Very tight velocity couplet however.
