4/11/09 NOW: TX/NM

Looks like there are still some stability problems on the south end of this threat. Td's are a little lower than forecast, unfortunately, but profiles still support supes. If any of these storms start to organize, you could find yourself staring at a beautiful LP!

Best action is up along the TX/NM border right now where the CAPE is, well available. Shear isn't quite as favorable up north, however.

The cell over Caprock, NM is the best show in town right now, but the one over Hobbs is starting to look a little more organized.
 
The tornadic cell currently south of Big Spring is, if my memory serves, about to test the largest wind power site in the US. Fortunately it looks in the latest radar that the cell has for the moment at least diminished tornado potential.
