30 thousand people still stranded in New Orleans????

JESUS! I just saw footage from FOX news with Bill OReilly and Geraldo, he was talking with the NO Police Superintendant. He said that 30 thousand people are waiting there in that area waiting to be evacuated. There are no buses in site, no food, no water.....what is going on? Wasn't there help sent? Did they forget these people? 30,000 people just waiting......and we are heading into day 6. I am MORE than disgusted!

I think most of the folks at the Convention Center are still there, as are the thousands on the I-10 bridge. The buses have been working to transport folks from the Superdome, but, as far as I know, haven't gotten to the Convention Center or the I10 bridge. Now, I do see that large shipments of water and food have arrived at the convention center, so at they the situation isn't AS life-threatening as it was 24 hours ago. Certainly, they NEED to get out of there and in to sanitary conditions.
