Wow, is anyone checking out the feature south of Beaumont? Very heavy radar reflectivities surging out and shows a large area of rotation almost like a tropical system. I remember the offshore values for Supercell Composite or Cravens Sig Severe were way off the scale.

Normally I wouldn't post a product here, but I can't find a link to this, but apparently this storm is producing waterspouts with high wind, and lots O bad lightning.

Via RUC analysis appears to be in an area of 400+ m2/s2 Storm Relative Helicity!

There were some pretty amazing radar images of the storms off the coast, namely a classic bookend vortex near Galveston and a right moving supercell off the coast of Corpus Christi. Anyone out chasing this? :rolleyes:
