There's a severe-warned storm just east of Interstate 5, 14 miles north of Red Bluff, showing quite a velocity couplet. It's being reported as a hailer with penny-sized hail two inches deep on I-5.

Yep, I'm glad it popped up since I'm trying my free trial of GR3 . . . and note the latest warning message includes this from weather.gov:
TO THE NORTHEAST AT 5 MPH AND WILL IMPACT TRAVEL IN THIS AREA.
RADAR IS ALSO INDICATING ROTATION IN THIS THUNDERSTORM AND IT MAY
BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A FUNNEL CLOUD OR SMALL TORNADO.j

near Glen, CA. I don't see any markers of meso on GR3 though with SRV1
wait. .it just got the green ring. . .so the 3d shear?
. .and now it's gone. . .dang. but well it keeps rotating.

this was the storm south of what Jody was referring to by the way--that way is still severe warned too and looking healthier than the glen one now. Nothing to get too excited about though.
