I think it's premature to write off the trailing storm. This kind of interaction usually is bad for the lead cell. The trailing storm usually dominates. I wouldn't be surprised to see resumption of tornado warnings.

Not writing it off at all, but I think that the movement is going to kill them both off. I do see all your points though, and it appears the trailing cell is starting to form up a bit more again. The next 10-15 minutes will tell a lot.

The lead storm appears to have a more NE component to it track, while the trailing storm is beginning to move slightly south of east.

if the east cell shoots up and out of the way. The west cell could really anchor down and maybe tor. Not so sure about this though with the western cell stabbing into the east.

Strong rotation just east of Piedmont, long track supercell ingested a cell from the south and quickly formed a new meso... environment is increasingly favorable with the nocturnally enhanced low-level flow / WAA and upper support arriving

My god... that cell in northern Oklahoma County has a PERFECT hook on it! It also, unfortunately, has a pretty intense couplet with it. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there's a pretty strong tornado slashing across the northern OKC suburbs... this one's gonna catch people in their beds, it looks pretty ugly for north Edmond and Seward right now, and Guthrie/Meridian about ten to fifteen minutes down the line...

Tornado on the ground at 178th and pen in N OKC Metro... WOW! Power flashes and power poles down at 178th and Santa Fe. Possibly damage coming from RFD... very powerfull RFD. Just an unbelievable looking storm. Everyone who went to bed is missing out.
