Started out with a target of Liberal, Kansas but it was apparent once I arrived that I'd need to adjust further west as storms began to pop a little early. Several cells formed but I stayed on the southern storms to the west near Elkhart, KS. Once I decided they wouldn't do much I moved east toward Rolla, KS then Hugoton, KS where the main cell developed but was outflowy and looked like junk. I noticed a lone cell to my east near Forgan, OK and I decided to make that move as it was maybe 25 minutes away. As I made my way there the storm became tornado warned and just as I arrived it began producing this beautiful funnel which I believe was a tornado, I just couldn't make out any ground contact at that point. Later I'd see other photos which confirmed my suspicion. What was more amazing was the lack of crowds on this storm as only a handful of people seemed to be on it, so I was able to stop and go freely which was nice. Later an incredible shelf cloud developed which I followed (actually followed me) down to Shattuck, OK where I let it go as it got dark. Fun day!
