What a great structure day with weak tornadoes to make up for missing KS the day before with the truck in the shop. I left KC at 11am after the Tundra was done and jusst made it to the cell north of Wichita Falls. Here are a few of mine ...

This day was my 3rd day of my chase trip and was another great chase. My chase partner and I were still talking about the day before in Kansas as we headed towards the Wichita Falls area of Texas.
Initiation finally occurred just north of the TX/OK border so we headed towards the storm. We made it to the storm as it underwent a left/right split. The right mover strengthened and developed a nice wall cloud and reports of 4" hail just to our west. We stayed ahead of the storm as it slowly moved east and then turned southeast towards Burkburnett, TX.
It went tornado warned and at times had some decent rotation under it and what looked like brief spinups under the base but never a fully condensed tornado.
We stopped one last time on the north side of Burkburnett as hail fell around us and the structure became pretty impressive.
Not wanting to deal with traffic etc and wanting to get back out ahead of the storm we went to just north of Dean, TX to the southeast of Burkburnett and waited for the storm to move towards us.
The storm came into view to our north and you could see a nice lowering. We drove up to the storm from the south stopping for a few moments with a nice view of the storm over a green valley. It had a huge clear slot and wall cloud under it and looked close to producing a tornado.
We went up the road a few miles coming in just behind it as a nice bowl funnel formed underneath. Right as we pulled over you could see a nice ground circulation form, but once again the tornado couldn't fully condense and soon fell apart.
Thereafter we chased that storm for a bit longer. but decided to break back west towards some new cells that were south of Wichita Falls. As we headed towards those a high based funnel formed and again briefly kicked up some dirt in the field to our west. We messed around with these storms until dark and then started heading back north towards Kansas for the next day's chase.

Wanted to share a couple of more images from this chase. The first one is another shot of the storm I took when it was tornado warned northwest of Burkburnett, TX. You can see a couple of hailstones falling through the sky in the picture.
Also I took a picture of the large hailstones that fell in Burkburnett. Never did hear officially if they were a state record or not...
