Initially targeted the Buffalo, Wyoming area in what was more of a traditional upslope regime. Easterly flow was transporting moisture towards the Front Range, and storms indeed did fire up and down the Eastern edge of the mountains invo of embedded stronger flow aloft. We followed a cell that developed WSW of Buffalo and largely moved parallel or north of I-90 and tracked east. it would eventually go on to produce a tornado west of Deadwood South Dakota once it got into the Black Hills. Overall a typical severe weather event in that region with large hail, damaging winds, and some funnels.
