A closed low moved across Ilinois today, with storms firing in the early afternoon. Moisture, instability, and shear were all very modest. The SPC issued a marginal risk, but only 2 cases of severe hail were reported. There were still some photogenic skies to be seen though. Most of these pictures were taken between Lincoln and Clinton. I'm glad I was able to get out since I'll be unable to chase for the next 2 weeks.
