So this little setup caught my eye. A strong low off the west coast should shove a strong nose of vorticity into central California. The shear profiles look great in the northern parts of Silicon Valley. There's definitely issues with the setup though. The profiles in the area look to be very saturated all the way up, leaving very little hope for some instability. There might be some breaks in the clouds to get localized pockets of perhaps 500-1000 J/kg...which is definitely enough to get the job done for tornadoes with that much directional shear. I wouldn't be surprised to see some mini embedded supercells with the stronger updrafts and maybe see a couple of weak/brief tornado reports. If money was my last worry right now...I'd probably be on a plane to Sacramento.
