Started this day targeting Sterling, CO. I was traveling from Ogallala, NE. By the time I got there, it was pretty clear that the action was going to be further south, spawning off a thing called the Denver cyclone. I'd only read about that before, but wanted to try chasing it to see what it would do. So I had some lunch and then moved down to Last Chance. I had a good laugh once I got there. No cel. No people. No gas. Amusing life lesson, that. It was about 2PM at the time, so I opted to continue south to Limon, where I grabbed a hotel room. Some of the hotels were already full. I'm not sure I understand why. At any rate, once I got situated, I saw that a supercell formed on the south side of Denver, and progressed east off the front range. I was in position to drive about 15 miles north to nab it as it approached. And so I did! It was very high-based, so there was no chance of a tornado. But the structure was awesome, and it moved plenty slow to sit and enjoy.

Quick edit: The wind and temperature fields around this storm were some of the weirdest I've ever experienced. Inflow died completely once, but I could watch how it was behaving for a large area around me because I was in a wind farm. And that...was awesome. Temps went from 60° to 72° and back again instantaneously on the southern side multiple times.
