I was visiting family in Las Vegas when a SVR-warned storm moved into the metropolitan area from the northeast around 02z. I observed some wind, a bit of rain, and lots of CGs. A few shots follow. The view in the first picture is to the northeast, while the view in the three lightning video grabs is to the north. All were shot from the intersection of Sandhill and Flamingo Roads.

I live in Henderson by Vegas. There was hail, and giant rain last night. My father said hail was hitting the window and thought it was going to break. Me and my mom

where playing at a casino when people started gathering by the front entrance. People where looking at the giant rain being POURED outside. When we later left, it was

still raining hard. I tell you, I have never ever been scared by a rain storm before. Lightning everywhere, rivers forming in the streets, and I even saw a manhole cover

erupting with water like a giant fountain. I will be honest, I thought we where either:

1. Going to hydroplane and crash into something or someone.

2. Get swapped away by the giant water flows in the streets.

Took us around 13 minutes to get home driving super carefully. I think we did hydroplane a little bit. There was lightning everywhere mostly cloud to cloud; we also had a big lightning storm last night.

However, last night I saw a red lightning bolt. The wind was fairly calm nothing unseal about it. When we went to bed late at night..Somewhere between 7:30 AM and

2:00 AM there had to be a massive wind gust of some sort. It took our trampoline from the backyard and threw it against the shed damaging it and threw it into a tree

behind the shed. This is a big trampoline with a safety net. The trampoline could hold up to 250 pounds of people. We have a play set of swings and a little slide. We

cemented it all the ground and we go to find it nearly out of the ground, with only one pole holding it down. The ladder was twisted completely, I suspect it must of been the trampoline that did it.

The last two days we have had very, very violent storms. The forecast says we might have more everyday through out the WHOLE week. I swear, I think some of these storms could of easily produced a tornado. I was being on the cautious side, however this all took place at night and you can't see the clouds very good. I will try to get photos if I can.

Let's add Michigan to the thread! Got treated to some nice storms on the Lake Michigan shore just south of South Haven, Michigan. I caught these as the developed over the lake and moved inland. These would go on to produce severe winds after moving east a few miles into the more unstable air over Michigan.

A couple hours later, there was still a storm south of my location over Lake Michigan, due west of St. Joseph/Benton Harbor. I managed to get one decent lightning shot despite the distance.

I think this will have to qualify my vacation as a "chasecation" until I can go on a real one in the future :)
