Hey friends! I am heartbroken like many of you over the loss of our friends last week, but we have to continue doing what they LOVED doing!

Easy chase drive for me yesterday leaving Monument, CO around 2pm and heading down towards Campo.

After trying (what a struggle) to get south of a tornado warned supercell, I ran into a microburst in the Springfield Area. The airport reported a 90mph gust. The winds grabbed dirt and mud from the fields nearby and completely stopped traffic.

Here is the gopro that's mounted on my roof! I have been chasing for a bunch of years and this is in the top 5 of "uncomfortable moments" in the car!

Enjoy!

I chased this day. Tried to catch the storm in SE CO before it went outflow dominant. Unfortunately I got to Campo and was greeted with a wall of dirt.

The cell south of me was getting bigger down near Boise City, OK. So intercepted a really nice LP storm in Boise City. We noted some high based rotation and an RFD cut that essentially split the storm. I got to take my new car into its first hail core, which was golf ball sized in Boise City.

We followed the storm into the panhandle and east of Stratford to catch the lightning show. Not too many CGs at night, but definitely some good CC that illuminated the storm.
