Watching from my easy chair, I notice Bennington, KS seems to be the target of more than a few tornadic cells this evening. One blows through, another is drawing a bead down the line. I hope the small community makes it through this bout.

Edit. I had left the computer for half an hour or so, and what I had thought was a separate cell may in fact be the same stationary cell? A rather odd cell there.

Yeah, it was virtually stationary for quite some time and actually appeared to have wobbled west-southwest briefly. Certainly an erratic path.

Can anyone confirm a yes or no as to whether this funnel that appeared prior to the Bennington wedge had a visible ground circulation (IE, was a tornado)? I have heard many conflicting second-hand reports.

Dan, I'm responding in here as opposed to privately in hopes it will trigger someone else to remember, but I saw a picture from a different angle that confirmed this was on the ground. Although not fully condensed, there was clearly debris swirling on the ground. I looked for the image here on ST, but I think I actually saw it on Facebook...just cannot remember when or who.
