Since this was a different region and a different weather system than the IL storms, I am starting a separate thread. Mods, if that is incorrect, feel free to merge with the IL thread.
I intercepted a strong storm near the new Chimney Rock National Monument and tracked it eastward as it produced 50 mph wind at the Pagosa Springs, CO airport and a wide variety of precipitation depending on altitude. Another storm farther up the line near Del Norte actually produced a brief tornado around the same time I was tracking this storm. The storm I was on did not do that, but did offer some nice photo ops as it produced an interesting combination of weather.
