2011-04-19 NOW: MO,OK,IL,AR,TX,IN

20 minutes south of Springfield, Illinois and already have 81 degrees here and clear skies. Latest RUC looks like cap is already eroding ahead of schedule.

Strong cells appear to be firing just west of Atoka, OK. SPC meso page shows 4000 cape, with winds aloft and at the surface nearly parallel. Cells seem to be getting sheared and stretched due to the parallel flows.

The cell approaching Mexico, MO just went severe. Shouldn't this thread be a NOW-cast?
EDIT: That cell is now showing a TOR votex sig. Cell approaching the river, close to Bowling Green.

The cell near Bowling Green, MO has just got tornado warned. Its showing a healthy couplet just SW of the town.

EDIT: Looks like its developing a hook on the latest scan. It has a confirmed tornado on the ground now!

WGEM Channel 10 says that a modot employee confirmed a tornado on the ground near Bowling Green, MO

The rotation on radar is looking very impressive on the Bowling Green Storm.

Reed's feed failed at the worst time, most likely overloaded from viewers. I look forward to him posting video, because SRV showed that could have been a nasty tornado. WGEM showed a pic of measured 2-2.25" hail.
