That's interesting you mentioned that... I was there during the cold spell last winter and posted some photos in the "mountians a cure for SDS" thread. Post number 22 on this page.

No color in the trees when I was there, haha, but it got down to around 5 degrees the night before so there was a lot of ice.

I finally was able to get a new lens. Bought a Sigma Zoom 28-70mm f/2.8 AF Lens on ebay for $76, and it showed up today.

took it for a test run in the neighborhood. Much better than what my other lenses produce.
