Currently in Erie, PA after documenting a brief but intense lake-effect snowfall event in Buffalo, NY during my first 'lake effect chase'. I was after thundersnow, but didn't get it this time. Still had a blast in some of the heaviest snowfall rates I've seen.

Most people here know how to drive on ice and snow, evidenced by only two cars in the ditch on I-90 between Erie and Buffalo (that's about 90 miles). The truck drivers didn't seem to be paying the ice much attention, barreling past me at 70MPH on a completely ice/snow covered highway. No surprise that I saw more 18 wheelers in the ditch than cars!

Heading down to the Pittsburgh area to visit family for a couple days, then possibly heading back up to the lakeshore for another round on Thursday.
