On Wednesday, 21st of October 2007, a strong thunderstorm with massive rainfalls occured in the city of Hadera in Israel. At about 3.38 pm I saw a funnel cloud growing downwards to becoming a tornado. I was in the southern part of Givat Olga neighborhood (westernmost part of Hadera, next to the Mediterranean Sea, http://maps.google.de/?ie=UTF8&t=k&om=1&ll=32.43363,34.887321&spn=0.029919,0.058365&z=14) and the tornado was in north-northwestern direction from me. I'm not good at estimating distances, but I think it was about 1 or 2 km away.

However, I didn't find any reports on the media about this. Can anyone confirm the tornado?

November

Of course it wasn't 21st of October but 21st of November. Sorry.

Did it look like this ?

you were near the mediterranean?

the only mention of a tornado or waterspout in israel is this one
it says it is from the day before but maybe they got the day wrong also !
