1st TOR warning of the day, sw of the DFW metroplex. Reflexivity doesn't look all that impressive but velocity has been showing deep, persistent rotation. Its current path will take it over the northern suburbs. Lets hope it doesn't deviate to the right, shear profiles are conducive to strong tornadoes. (18z special sounding, current near-storm sfc ob shows 70/61 with 15kt out of se) Any news streams out of DFW?

EDIT: Confirmed tornado in sw KS near Johnson. Mike U is on this storm.

Nice supercell heading into Parker County, TX now tornado warned. Only moving 25MPH to the NE. The velocity couplet doesn't look too strong as of now, but the supercell is nice and isolated tracked right along the warm front. Another cell just SW of that one that may be the next player.

Dang I hope some of you Texas chasers are getting some good stuff!

The cold core setup has panned out in classic fashion. Mike Umschied is currently watching a large tornado west of Ulysses, KS. A mini string of pearls looks to form within the next few hours from the KS/CO border into the OK Pan.

But the one of the storms W of DFW is now tornado warned, and the one to the south of it is getting well organized....

No surface-based instability there - so it's not likely those will tap into the BL. As a result, large hail should be the primary hazards with those storms - bill

Typically impressive CC set-up. T/td spreads were about 3F near that storm... I'm guessing about any tornado out there today will look like a biggie!
