I saw a chance to chase close to home and ended up driving about 2 hours out to get a storm. I eventually got on the 2 supercells south of the Midland-Odessa area yesterday evening. There were a couple of funnels, but I never noticed any very tight rotation. I was not on either of the storms when they were at their strongest point though. The structure was really nice for such low CAPE and the lightning was all over the place. If the low level winds had been a bit stronger it could have been a really nice day. I could not feel any inflow into either storm, so I am sure that didnt help.
