Heads up fellow chasers..Some strong storms have popped in the last couple Hours over EC IA and SW WI..The cells were showing very nice reflectivities and some rotation in the cell west of Cedar Rapids earlier. Cells in the northern areas seems to be moving more ENE where as the southern cell(s) seem to be moving ESE ..at about 30-35kts..With clear skies around the area it should provide for some fantastic views of these relatively low topped cells.. I May wait for some activity to enter NW IL or SC WI and if Severe warned may head out..

The main concern with most of these storms will be the hail, and occasional wind gusts. A storm was tornado warned previously as it interacted with another weaker storm, it turned right and did have some nice rotation; only reports were of a fairly 'weak' wall cloud present. Otherwise the other concern will be for heavy rains, as you notice the path of these storms is right along the area of most intense flooding. These scattered storms certainly aren't hitting the best locations...

Cell around Iowa city showing hook echo now and some rotation..might be a good cell to observe if nearby...
