06/05/09 NOW: CO, WY, NE, KS

I talked to a couple of mobile mesonet drivers and they seemed to get some good data. Many broken windshields and broken instruments due to softballs being chunked just north of the tornado.

Another tornado apparently...or is that something replaying?
That looks exactly the same as what I saw on his cam earlier. He doesn't look to be close enough for that vantage either. Apparently he is showing the footage to people. It keeps rewinding and playing. He needs to turn his feed off.

BTW, anyone else excited to hear how much Mike Bettis has to go to the bathroom? I bet he is forgetting that the live web streaming is going.

we are currently about 20 miles north of Kimball, NE and just watched a funnel come about half way to the ground. Might've touched down but couldn't see from our vantage point...

I wish I could have watched TWC today or the live stream to see this insanity being talked about here. I wish I could access some sort of archive with the video from TWC's V2 coverage...

Dang I wish I was out today.

We're about 1 mile west of Akron watching the best cell of the southern bunch move right towards us. It wants to become a bigger cell and it very well might, but it has a ways to go. Lots of CG and a nicely shaped skirt is developing along the front edge. We'll be following this one and will report if it does anything worth mentioning.

The Shelton storm to the west of Hastings and Grand Island looks to have a well pronounced hook echo.
