Will start now thread due to convection firing over SPC 5% Torn risk area.

Comment!
Why no watch box from the SPC ??
One Nebraska cell is tornado warned and another is producing hail > 1"
All very Strange.

I was on the storm just south of Ord for the last hour or so. From my vantage point, there were definite lowerings (at times), but very little rotation. It has now been swallowed up by the storm to the SW of it. We just crossed the river and we're going to head south to get a better look. If anything is going to happen, it looks like it will be on this storm.

Bryan

Edit: it turned into a big soupy HP mess just west of St. Paul.

SPC tornado report:

2330 1 W BERWYN CUSTER NE 4135 9952 DEBRIS HIT CHASERS CAR AS TORNADO CROSSED THE ROAD. (LBF)

You don't have to get hit by the damn thing to know its there! What the hell are they doing?!!

My experience with the storm up near Verdigre (Knox County) was similar to Bryan's. I was hoping low level winds would stay SSE, but they turned to SW too early and low level shear was lost.
