TARGET: VALENTINE, NE TIME OF DEPARTURE: 10 AM. Drove from Denver, CO to Spearfish, SD yesterday in anticipation of today and was treated to two picturesque supercells over the Black Hills last evening. Today, a short wave is progged to romp over the ridge and fire storms along a frontal boundary in the Dakotas. These storms should move southeast into Nebraska later today. I like the low-level turning (SE winds at SFC with NW winds aloft) but there is a lack of ample moisture. So, I expect more starved storms today. Hope they can make it off the Black Hills. This is the last day of my chase vacation. A long drive back to Dallas tomorrow. TM
