We are moving south on Highway 77 towards Beatrice and we can see an anvil to the SW. GRL3 is showing signs of life in Jewell County in North Central to North East Kansas. We will be heading towards what we see in the distance and hope this is in response to the advancing warm front that is in that vicinity.

Yes, a lone storm has started to go up in NC KS. Still watching the CU field near Lincoln.

Yea the tower is finally charging further up, nice puffy updraft from the backside. Looks like there is another tower going up ahead of the original one.

Storm ESE of Lincoln moving NE toward Omaha

New Storm ESE Lincoln top 40+ growing and moving ENE just south of Omaha.

Looks like WF Lincoln to near Columbus storm lifting NE.

:D

northern cell seems to be the stronger of the two, estimated 1" hail by radar.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 7:45pm for Cass and Otoe Counties in NE and Mills and Fremont Counties in IA. Storm is moving East at 35mph.

We became frustrated and checked into a motel in Beatrice, and now we're looking at the storms to our north in Gage county and to the west in Jefferson county on GRL3 wondering if we shouldn't throw our gear back in the car for another hour or two. They don't look too good to the naked eye, but we stand ready to go if anything changes for the better. The temperature and dewpoint spread is 88 and 48, which isn't what one would hope for that's for sure. I wish we would have stayed in Bellevue now, but what can you do when you get antsy and leave late in the day?

Mods can add SD to the list as well.

We're on the Tornado warned storm north of Mitchell, SD and viewed a couple of interesting lowerings from the south. Storm is still a bit high based but there is definately some motion.

EDIT: looking more and more outflowish...

sitting on I-29 just west of thurman, ia. drove thru the cell just south of plattsmouth and just experienced heavy rain. i'm now on the south side of the cells. theres a nice southeast breeze that is warm and actually doesn't feel totally dry, but the cloud bases are too high still. storm has gotten its act together on the west/southwest side though while sitting here.
