03/07/05 REPORT: S. Wisconsin

I just returned home from a surprise gentlemans chase in S. WI. Though obs at the sfc were 53/32, extremely steep lapse rates aloft yielded enough instability for strong to marginally severe storms. Dime to nickel size hail lasted for about 5 minutes, with frequent lightning (including a fair share of CG), and heavy rain. I have posted a few video catpures on my website:

SWEET! Unfortunately it's now snowing here in GRB-with the snow blowing horizontally on winds of 20 MPH gusting to 30. :evil:

BTW Scott you might want to report that to MKX as I just checked and they don't have any LSRs out. If they don't hear about it neither will the SPC.

Oh so lucky. Seems like people are starting to get their first catches going...hope this is a continuing trend.
