• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

ST: To anyone who has XM Radio...

I've been thrown into the hot seat today and have been placed in charge of doing severe weather coverage for the moderate risk on XM channel 247. Usually this channel doesn't provide coverage on individual storms and short fuse warnings but we want to attempt doing extensive coverage tomorrow and see how it goes. If it works, maybe the format will stick for future outbreaks.

If you happen to be chasing or live in the affected areas from the Arklatex northeastward and catch the broadcast, I'd love to hear what you think. It should be up by 4PM. You can also e-mail comments to [email protected]

David -- tell your XM overlords that, as a subscriber, I have for the past couple of years felt that the Emergency channel was completely useless. If they couldn't call out tornado warnings as they happened, then why in the world would I think they have enough organization to keep me informed if a nuclear plant melted down or something? (It's not like the station doesn't carry CNN, FOX, etc.) So I just want to say: ANY effort they make whatsoever to get live tornado information to the public via XM is appreciated, at least by me. :)

I will echo Ryan's opinion... ANY information is better than none. I've heard some good info on 247 from time-to-time.

I'm sorry I missed the broadcast, as I was ULTRA busy -- helping my streamers -- during the last 3 days.

Hopefully I can catch future XM coverage.

I think that this is an awesome idea. I have an XM radio and it's great to have something you can cruise for many miles on and not haft to switch the channel around. I give it an A+!
