Is there a weather station that i could get for my home that if i am gone could access it from anywhere while im away from home? like say on the go?

Yes, you'll find plenty of options for putting the info on the website. Just about any weather station has software that uploads the data to a website, so it might be better just to find a wx station of interest and then find the software instead of going about it in reverse.

I recommend the Oregon Scientific WMR-968 and the WeatherHub (Internet connected mini-server) for folks in that price range. In particular these two..

http://www.ambientweather.com/wmorscwiprwe.html ($189)

http://www.ambientweather.com/weambnslu2.html ($229)

That's the station I run at home and it has worked just fine for 5+ years. It's not the best, but you can't get the best for $400 :)

The WeatherHub I added a few months ago to replace my aging laptop that was doing nothing but running Virtual Weather Server. I _LOVE_ the WeatherHub. Combine it with the CWOP iPhone app and I can check the weather at my house from anywhere without even going to a website.

I too shop with AmbientWeather and have had nothing but good experiences.

Very good (that's just what I bought for my EM agency, with the WeatherHub instead of their IP server) but the price point goes up.
